Computers are a basic necessity for business these days as it makes work so much easier and is able to help add productivity. Maximizing the use of the computers in a company means being able to monitor these computers properly. With all the employees and their varying levels of knowledge and skills with computers, many mishaps and mistakes can happen, possibly being detrimental to the whole company. That is when the IT department comes in. using a terminal server monitor; an IT department is able to keep watch of the things that happens on employee computers. It does not mean that they will be spying on a person’s every move on the computer and most of the time that is not even possible. The IT department simply keeps a remote desktop log that allows them to keep track of what is going on with each computer.
What is the use of all this? In the event of large scale mistake such as a mass deletion of data, the IT department can be able to fix things and remedy it with that remote desktop log. With all computer hooked up and linked together using a remote desktop protocol, the IT department can trace the origin of the problem and fix it at the source. This could also be useful in preventing future problems from happening since the IT department can keep an eye on things. The IT department can warn and educate people before things like these happen by studying their log files.
